Giorgia’s vision of the world has always been through a murky wine glass. A young alcoholic, she teeters between booze-soaked nights of sexual escapades and episodes of emotional collapse. Only when she is forced to join an Alcoholics Anonymous group at the local hospital does she begin to realize the extent of her addiction. For a while, she struggles to understand the importance of sharing and leaning on someone else. She does find support in Lorenzo, a psychiatrist, but his presence develops into something more than psychological support. Giorgia has to deal with her feelings of not measuring up, the bitterness of relapse and the relief of sobriety. But all this happens under Lorenzo’s gaze. And this is how she discovers her real addiction: love.
