Sinossi:
The cases of Legionnaires' Disease that occurred in the province of Brescia (Italy) in the summer 2018 - a veritable epidemic, if one considers how many people were infected - have brought this bacterium, which often finds a perfect habitat in plumbing and heating/cooling systems to the attention of the general public. From the water it spreads in the air from various sources; shower heads, evaporative towers, decorative fountains and whirlpool tubs, just to mention the most common. In some people, it becomes a serious disease, similar to pneumonia, called Legionnaires' Disease or Legionellosis.
This book contains information based on the knowledge and experiences acquired by the authors over their many years of collaboration with the Public Prosecutors of the courts of Rome and Turin. It is neither a manual, much less, a scientific treatise. It is simply a collection of "useful notes" for those who want to better understand Legionella and the most effective ways of fighting it.
This book is the English translation of the original Italian version.
